Sadie Shannon

Sadie Shannon is still new to the Kansas City area after relocating last year with her family from North Mississippi. She has an MFA in Acting Pedagogy from the University of Alabama, a BA in Music from William Carey University and 15 years of directing and collegiate teaching experience. As a guest artist, she has taught Musical Theatre and Audition workshops all over the midsouth. While teaching in Mississippi, Shannon also served as the Region IV Musical Theatre Deputy-Chair for The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, the Chair of the Mississippi Theatre Association Colleges and Universities Division and was an active member of NATS, SETC and VASTA.

Recent acting credits include "A Christmas Story the Musical" (Mother) at Theatre Lawrence, "Ragtime" (Ensemble) at Theatre Memphis, "Mamma Mia" (Rosie) at Kudzu Playhouse and "Little Women" (Marmee) at Theatre Atchison and Panola Playhouse. Shannon is currently participating in the ETPI program at Theatre in the Park and will direct their production of "Sister Act" this summer. When she is not on stage, directing or teaching, she enjoys spending time and laughing with her husband and two sons.
