Fire Equipment Policy

Because fire and safety codes require that fire and safety equipment function properly when needed, the following are prohibited:
- Tampering or playing with fire extinguishers, hoses, fire equipment storage boxes, pull stations, smoke detectors, exit lights, emergency lights, etc.
- Engaging in any conduct that causes the fire alarms to sound, thereby creating the false pretense of a fire.
Residents will be subject to disciplinary actions including facing suspension, as well as a $200 fine. Residents are reminded that these actions are violations of federal and state laws as well as college policy.
