Jewell celebrates the holidays

William Jewell announces its schedule of holiday events and festivities.

Jazz Band Concert
​Dec. 4
8 p.m., Peters Theater (Brown Hall)

Lighting of the Quad
Dec. 5
7 p.m., Gano Chapel and Quad, Jewell campus
A celebration of the season in Gano Chapel with a Wind Ensemble concert, sing-along carols and hanging of the green, followed by a lighting ceremony on the Quad. Light refreshments will be served in Yates-Gill College Union and Santa will be on hand for visits and photos.

Liberty Symphony Orchestra "Merry and Bright" Concert
Dec. 6
7:30 p.m., Second Baptist Church, Liberty
Under the direction of Dr. Langston Hemenway, skilled musicians from Jewell and the community will come together to perform favorites from all genres of music.

The City Come Again
Dec. 8
11:15 a.m. - doors open
11:35 a.m. - music begins
Noon - program begins
Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Broadway at 13th Street, Kansas City
Jewell’s Christmas gift to the city in words and music, including the Concert Choir, congregational hymns, poetry readings and a homily.
