Walls named top visiting student at Mansfield, University of Oxford

William Jewell College student Alexander Walls has been awarded the Grenader Family Visiting Student Prize for Trinity Term (April-June) from Mansfield College, University of Oxford. The award is given to one visiting student each term, recognizing outstanding academic performance. 

Walls completed a year of study at Mansfield as part of Jewell’s Oxbridge Honors Program. While at Mansfield, he was involved in Politics Society, Law Society, Music Society, Rowing Team, and Oxford Diplomatic Society.

The Liberty North High School graduate is an Oxbridge Institutions and Policy major with additional majors in political science and international relations. He has been active in campus life as a Student Senator, Cardinal Host, Cardinal Blazer, Phi Gamma Delta officer, American Public Square intern, Pryor Leadership Fellow, trumpet scholar, and member of several instrumental ensembles. Walls is a senior at Jewell and plans to earn a Ph.D. in international relations and pursue work in government or politics.
