• February 26, 2024: President Dr. Elizabeth MacLeod Walls announces resignation (news release)
• April 14, 2024: Jewell names interim president to serve through May 2025 (news release)
• April 15, 2024: Presidential Search Committee appointed, comprised of trustees, students, staff, faculty and community advisors
• May 1, 2024: Susan Chambers begins role as interim president
• June 30, 2024: Dr. Elizabeth MacLeod ends her 8-year tenure as Jewell's 15th president
• Summer 2024: Jewell to select a search firm to guide in the national search
• Late fall-early 2025: Candidate interviews
• First quarter 2025: New president to be named
• Summer 2025: Jewell's 16th president begins role
