Nursing Grads Achieve 100% NCLEX Pass Rate for Second Year

08/01/2024

For the second consecutive year, William Jewell College nursing graduates earned a 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX® (National Council Licensure Examination).

“This is an amazing achievement because the National Council of State Board of Nursing changed to a Clinical Judgment Measurement Model for NCLEX, focusing on clinical reasoning, and added new question formats like bowtie, dropdown, drag and drop and extended multiple response,” said Dr. Leesa McBroom, professor of nursing and department chair. “Fortunately, we are The Critical Thinking College® and our students proved that! Our faculty excel at promoting clinical judgment and preparing our students for the exam.”

In 2024, Jewell Nursing also celebrates 50 years. An alumni event will be held during Homecoming on Oct. 19 (jewell.edu/nursing-50th).

Jewell’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program includes a three-year track, a traditional four-year track and a 12-month accelerated track for those who already hold a bachelor’s degree and have completed prerequisites. Learn more at jewell.edu/nursing.
