  • College Accolades

    • Money magazine named Jewell to its Best Colleges in America 2025 list. To find colleges that combine quality and affordability, Money reviewed more than 2,400 four-year public and private nonprofit colleges, then narrowed the list to 732 schools based on those with more than 500 students, that were not in financial distress and had graduation rates above the median.
    • U.S. News and World Report announced its 2026 Best Colleges list. Of the 89 schools in the 12-state Midwest regional category, Jewell tied as the No. 11 Best Midwest College, based on 17 factors such as graduation rates (including rates for first-generation and Pell students), first-year retention, financial resources, student-faculty ratio, borrower debt, standardized tests, faculty salaries and more. Jewell also tied for No. 43 in Top Performers on Social Mobility. This is based schools' success in advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of economically disadvantaged students awarded with Pell Grants.
    • The Princeton Review placed Jewell on its 2026 list of The Best 391 Colleges. Only 15% of the country's four-year schools earn this distinction. In addition, Jewell was named the No. 1 Lowest Private School Tuition & Fees, a Best Midwest College, and one of the 209 Best Value Colleges for stellar academics, affordability and strong career prospects.
    • Washington Monthly ranked Jewell to the 209 Best Bachelor's Colleges with an overall rank at No. 60. The 2025 College Guide rates schools on their contribution to the public good (research, social mobility, public service). Jewell ranked No. 5 for students who enter AmeriCorps/Peace Corps, No. 6 for graduates who go on to earn a Ph.D., No. 27 for service and No. 30 for service-oriented majors. In the Midwest region, Jewell was selected as a Best Bang for the Buck School for how well schooles "help nonwealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices."
